Each company chooses its sender and default email content
New GET/PUT /v1/companies/{company_id}/email-configuration: the address a company's invoice emails use, plus default subject, message, cc and extra recipients.
A company inherits the account's default sending domain, can pick another one, or can stay on BeeL.'s address. The response includes sender.effective, the address the next invoice email will actually use, and a reason when it is not your domain. The same call sets the default subject, message, cc and additional_recipients of the company's invoice emails. GET /v1/email-template-variables lists the placeholders those texts accept, such as {invoiceNumber}. Templates saved with the older Spanish placeholders now read back with the English names; the Spanish ones are still filled in.
Endpoints
- GET/v1/companies/{company_id}/email-configurationSender chosen, address in effect and defaults
- PUT/v1/companies/{company_id}/email-configurationReplace the sender, and optionally the defaults
- GET/v1/email-template-variablesPlaceholders for subject and message
Where to go next
Recurring invoices: `series_id` is optional
Creating a recurring invoice without `series_id` no longer answers `VALIDATION_ERROR`: the template uses the company's default series for `invoice_type`. A `STANDARD` template with no default standard series is rejected with `SERIES_DEFAULT_NOT_FOUND`.
Send invoice emails from your own domain
Register a domain on the account, publish its DNS records and verify it: invoice emails then go out from your address instead of BeeL.'s.
